Welcome to the Harvard Club of Washington DC

In the Community

Community Service Committee

The mission of the community service committee is to expand the involvement of the Harvard Club in the local community. The committee invites you to (1) volunteer for one-time and longer-term Club programs with local organizations, (2) publicize community service efforts in which members are involved to other potential volunteers, and (3) make suggestions on how the Club can better support the community. Also, the Club encourages current Harvard College students' interest in community service by matching them with local opportunities year-round and funds community-service fellowships for those who find their own summer internships. Information on both these student programs is available through the Center for Public Interest Careers http://www.cpic.fas.harvard.edu/. To sign up for regular notices on Club community-service events, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/harvard-dc-community and click "Join this Group."
